A movement toward my lips
A deep, deep breath
A soft slow release of air
A bit of hope.
A whisper of a cool breeze
Then floating, floating
Soaring, soaring
Higher, higher.
A spark of wonder and amazement
And then a gentle pop!
My sweet, sweet creation,
My bubble burst.
A squeal of delighted laughter
Small hands clapping in delight
I do this for you sweet baby
A movement toward my lips.

Ahhhh, what a sweet capture! I can see the “small hands clapping in delight”. You capture the joy of being lost in the moment with a precious child.
I really appreciate the use of repetition and alliteration, as they add a gentle musicality to the poem. I also find the last line intriguing, as it subtly hints at blowing bubbles while also evoking the tenderness of kissing a baby, which gives it a warm and delicate feel.
Your poem reconnects me with the joys of having babies. Such a pure time!
I’m not sure what the movement is at the beginning and end of the poem and who is doing the moving? The mother? The baby? The rest of the poem is sheer delight.
Such a sweet and gentle moment. The alliteration and repetition are marvelous!
