Dandelion Dream
By Jennifer Sanders
Floating seeds
fly through air,
balls of puffs
without a care.
Falling down,
imbedding Earth
patiently waiting
for spring’s rebirth.
Pushing up
through the ground,
leaves of green
sprout all around.
Quickly grows
and spreads throughout,
then reaches up
and bursts about.
Warming sun,
rain that sputters,
nourishing color tufts,
shades of butter.
Blooming up
here and there,
mounds of happiness
without a care.
Small hands
coming in fast
spotting a flower
not to last.
Finding you
Pull, pinch, pluck!
Then long gone,
wished for luck.
Floating high
in a stream
towards the sky
a dandelions dream.
